A Streetcar Named Desire arrives in Port Adelaide this November. Butterfly Theatre presents this masterpiece of American cinema and stage as an immersive theatrical experience at Milledge’s Bar. Be transported to the New Orleans of the late 1940s with live jazz and stunning performances.
Join Blanche DuBois, a fragile Southern belle with a dark past, as she moves in with her sister Stella and brother-in-law Stanley. Her illusions clash with Stanley’s brutal reality, leading to desire, mental decay and her tragic downfall as her past and their conflicts spiral out of control.
Directed by Matthew Chapman and featuring Allison Scharber as Blanche Du Bois, David Daradan as Stanley Kowalski, Leah Lowe as Stella Kowalski and Thomas Midena as Harold “Mitch” Mitchell.
